The resolution generator
The New Year's resolution wheel turns the year's most abandoned tradition into the party's best moment. At midnight-adjacent hours, each guest spins and receives their mission for the year — met with cheers, groans, and immediate negotiation attempts (denied; the wheel is law). It's a genuinely great NYE ritual, and weirdly, wheel-assigned resolutions have a documented advantage: you tell the story all year.
Run it as a party game
Load the wheel before guests arrive — mix real resolutions with fun ones ("learn to juggle", "text back within a day"). Everyone spins in a circle; each person may invoke one re-spin per lifetime (house rules vary on this). Screenshot the results and post them in the group chat next December for the accountability ceremony. Fair warning: someone always gets "less screen time" while holding their phone.
